We are very pleased to announce two enhancements to the website as we continue to make the site easier for you to use.
  • UK Networking Event List: To further solidify ourselves as the most comprehensive and accurate source of Property Networking Events we have introduced a new event list format, just go to UK Networking Events List under “Just Do Education”
  • Enhanced Blog Commenting : We have switched to the IntenseDebate tool to host comments to our blog. This is an industry wide favourite that allows users to better interact on the Website.  You can login via facebook, twitter and OpenID and more easily track comments and responses Please do comment on any blog article you read.

We will be continuing to release enhancements through May with some major changes due very soon.

News Roundup

The big news has been the election and weve looked at the coalitions agreement, How is the Property Investor Impacted by the new Government? In Summary HIPS are out, EPCs still in and there is a possibility of increased Capital Gains Tax.

Both Nationwide and Halifax have seen virtually static price increases over April, although prices are 6.6-10.5% higher than April 2009, with regional variations.

The Bank of England kept the bank rate at the all time low of 0.5% and reported seeing Mortgage approvals up 4.3%

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) had a positive survey of its members, showing prices, activity and expectations rebounding in April.
