People become landlords for a number of reasons, perhaps in order to create a business, to supplement their income or perhaps they have inherited a property. You may have become an accidental landlord because you had to move but had difficulty selling your current property. Currently, interest rates are at an all time low so investing in property seems an attractive proposition especially if you can take a long term view.
Having moved house several times and worked in estate agency I felt that home owners were sometimes not making the most of their property and this applies to rental properties as well.
Property styling (sometimes referred to as home staging) is all about presenting your property so that it looks its best for the photos when tenants are looking online, making them want to view and then giving them a positive feeling when they view. You want the prospective tenant to fall in love and want to rent the property. Property styling when renting your property is all about making your home appeal to your audience so as to maximise your yield and minimise void periods.
I therefore compiled a guide for landlords that you can download from my website for free. It contains useful information for first time landlords (and those who have been doing it for a while). You can receive my free Guide when you sign up for my Hints and Tips from my Property Styling For Letting Page.
