NEW CORFU VILLA ADDED TO THE HIDEAWAYS CLUB CLASSIC COLLECTION PORTFOLIO FOLLOWING DEMAND FROM MEMBERS
Following overwhelming demand from Members after the acquisition last year of a villa in Crete, a stunning villa in Corfu has been acquired by The Hideaways Club shared property ownership club for its Classic Collection portfolio of global holiday homes. With property prices in Corfu widely reported to be below their peak, this was the ideal time for The Hideaways Club to invest in property in Corfu, especially as the recent ITV series ‘The Durrells’, based on Gerald Durrell’s trilogy of Corfu memoirs, has sparked interest in the island.
About Kentroma House
Kentroma House is a four bedroom hillside villa on the north east coast of Corfu, with spectacular views over Agni Bay. It has a wonderful secluded setting, in a perfect hideaway location, yet is just a 10 minute drive from the popular town of Kalami with its beaches, restaurants and shops. Corfu airport is just a 45 minute drive from the villa.
Kentroma House sleeps eight in four bedrooms. It has three bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining and living area and air conditioning throughout. A highlight of the property is its wonderful heated outdoor pool and seating area, with spectacular views over the bay below. There are a variety of different outdoor areas, including an upstairs sunset sofa, balcony armchairs, hanging chairs, plus sun loungers and umbrellas by the pool.
A programme of renovation and redecoration has just been completed at the villa, by London interior design company, Cocovara, whose design team has created a Greek inspired interior, combining sophistication and comfort. Luxury was brought into the dining area with upholstered dining seating and a banquette featuring layered cushions with blue accents. In the master bedroom gold highlights in handles, chandeliers and artwork contrast beautifully with a white and earthy background.
The Hideaways Club now has a total of 40 homes in its Classic Collection, in a variety of locations across Europe, Asia and Africa, with a further portfolio of 200 luxury villas available to Members through reciprocal agreements with other destination clubs. The Club recently announced a reciprocal partnership with HotelSwaps, the world’s foremost hotel room exchange programme, providing Members with an even wider collection of luxury hotels and residences around the world.
Commenting on the acquisition of Kentroma House, Poonam Dhawan-Leech, CEO of The Hideaways Club, says:‘Having acquired Villa Anatoli in Crete last year, which proved extremely popular with our Members, Kentroma House in Corfu was a natural addition to our European portfolio of beautiful holiday homes. It has all the ingredients that make The Hideaways Club portfolio appealing to our 500+ Members. Sitting high in a tranquil location with stunning panoramic views of the Agni Bay, Kentroma House is perfect for relaxation yet within easy reach of various places of interest including all the coves, beaches and tavernas dotted along the prestigious north-east coast of Corfu. Through extensive renovation we’ve created a beautiful interior and a number of fantastic outdoor living spaces in keeping with local styles. We are confident that Kentroma House will not only become a much loved holiday home by our Members but will also realise its potential for growth in future value, therefore meeting the two key criteria fundamental to our acquisition decisions.”
The Hideaways Club continues to add extremely desirable properties to its portfolio, all worth more than £1.2 million, with the aim of owning a total of 100 homes across the globe in the Classic Collection and 100 in its City Collection.
