Halifax House prices see a monthly increase but large yearly fall.

Halifax House Price Index this week reported a Monthly change of 1.2%, setting the average house price at £163,049.

Main House Prices Indices diverge!

Halifax house price index for May has reported a 0.1% increase since April leaving the average house price at £160,519.

However this represents a 4.2% fall since last year and shows they have ‘wilted in spring’ according to the BBC!

Nationwide sees small increase in House Prices

Nationwide reported a small rise in house prices of 0.3% during the month of May.

This places the average UK House Price at £167,203 but represents a fall of -1.2% since the same time last year.
