The Wigan Property Event

Well I braved the wind and the rain last night to travel to The Wigan Property Event. I thought it would take me just 45 minutes to get there, but an hour and a half later I arrived!

It was a small select group last night of just 7 people. But to be fair this was only the second meeting and the weather was pretty horrible, so that could be the reason why.

Steven Aspinall was running the meeting and Shimon Ruddich was presenting. I was also expecting to see Vanessa Warwick but Steven had to cancel her appearance the day before due to the low numbers.

Shimon gave an excellent presentation about lease options. Shimon is the founding partner of solicitors, MS Law in Manchester. He certainly knows his stuff! As well as being a solicitor he is a landlord too and buys 1 property every month. I always think that’s it’s good to know that people in your power team are also landlords too.

One thing was clear that if you are going to do lease options you need to know your stuff! If the contract isn’t done properly it can be thrown out by a court of law. Shimon and colleagues are trying to iron out all the problems and develop the Managed Option Contract (MOC). Watch this space…….
