The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is the last of the main House Price Indices to be announced and their June HPI shows static prices with a 0% change between May and June 2010.
Over the year from June 2009 there was a 9.9% rise reflecting the buoyant housing market in 2009 recovering from the low of the recession.
The figures for the quarter to June 2010 also reflect the monthly figures with only a 0.8% rise and this coincides with most experts opinions that the housing market will be flat this year.
