
The Bank of England today, Feburary 1st, released its for Lending figures to Individuals. The key property related statistics are those for mortgage approvals and for new purchases these were 1.7% lower than November. However the approvals (59,023) for December was above the previous six-month average (55,004)
Approvals for remortgaging (27,276) were higher than in November but remained below the previous six-month average.
