Property Investors Network (pin) Manchester Meeting

Yet another fantastic night at Manchester pin last week. The room was buzzing with new and regular attendees sharing stories, information and business.

Richard Ignatowicz started the evening by giving us the latest mortgage products and updating us on new lenders in the market place. Richard also shared some interesting facts about the general market, like; every 14 minutes there is a repossession. You can contact Richard on:

Peter Anti of Concentric Lettings gave an update on what is happening in the lettings market, sharing some possible changes in the legislation around EPC’s, and an insight into ensuring our rent and deposits are appropriately protected when using a letting agent. You can contact peter on Tel: 0161 246 6074 or email:

Arthur Kemp of HMO tax consultants joined us in Manchester to share a really interesting update on Capital Allowances and TAX!  Yes that’s right, it was TAX and really interesting in the same sentence.  Arthur shared with us how you can legitimately not pay HMRC a penny.  Recapping on some of the historical rules around Capital Allowances, Arthur demonstrated how you can claim tax back on capital allowances. He also talked us through recent changes to these allowances, how they work and where we can still benefit from these.  You can find out more about Capital Allowances by clicking here.

David Sandeman of Essential Information Group, gave a very lively and informative talk about how to buy at auction and why now is a good time to do so. David explained how to source property for sale at auction and who is most likely to be buying and selling at auction.  He talked us through all the key elements of preparation you need to carry out before buying at auction, what to look out for and key actions to take. He also shared with us some great tips of when and how you can most effectively purchase property either before or after auction.  David also demonstrated the vast and detailed information available at the click of a button for subscribers to the EIG website, relating to all auctions across the country, showing how efficient and effective this tool is when considering buying at auction.
