Rightmove.co.uk predict 7% fall in second half of year to wipe out gains since Jan 2010.


A massive increase in properties coming on the market, up 45% since last Month, sees sellers having to drop their asking prices, according to Rightmove’s new House Price Index (HPI) figures.

Government May HPI figures report 11% increase from May 09


The governments own House Price Index figures from the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has reported an increase of 11% from May 09 to May 10.

Halifax June HPI: House Prices down by 0.6%, continuing decline from May


Halifax June House Price Index (HPI) has just been released, the second of the major June House figures, with house prices down -0.6% continuing the decline in May of -0.5%.
Although house prices were 6.3% higher than the same time a year ago, they are 0.1% down this quarter compared to previous.

Nationwide June HPI: “House Prices rise again in June”….Really???


Nationwide June House Price Index (HPI) has just been released, only a day after the Land Registry’s May figures. They report that house prices have risen, but in reality they have only ‘inched’ up by 0.1%

Land Registry HPI confirms static House Prices


The Land Registry House Prices index, which reports prices of purchases either with Cash and Mortgage, has reported a very small monthly fall, -0.2%, in the prices of houses.

Rightmove HPI: up 0.3%, inline with previous Statistics


Rightmove.co.uk released it’s June House Price Index (HPI), for May figures, today reporting nation asking prices up 0.3%, a slackening in the pace of rises.

Let’s be honest….House prices are flat – “Latest Halifax HPI -0.4%”


Halifax reported house prices to have fallen by -0.4% in May. However yesterday Nationwide reported a rise in house prices by 1.7%! “The mixed pattern of monthly price rises and falls so far this year is consistent with a slowing market…”

Nationwide reports House Prices still rising though by only 0.5% as opposed to 1.0% last month. Yearly growth now at 9.8%, out of double digits.

Rightmove.co.uk HPI asking prices static with surge of new sellers


Rightmove.co.uk reported today on its House Price Index for April period showing a ‘modest’ increase in asking prices, up only 0.7% from the month before.
